Volunteer Forest School Assistant
We are extremely lucky to have an area of Puxton Marsh at our centre where we run Forest School activities for children aged 3 – 10 years old. We also have extra sessions for families and even offer forest school parties. We need help to staff the sessions, no experience needed, just a willingness to get stuck in, looking for bugs, making mud pies and toasting marshmallows on the fire!
Volunteer Client Support
We can have up to 60 clients a day coming to our activities and often they need a steadying arm, or to be pushed in a wheelchair, or even someone to sit and have a cup of tea with them. We run activities Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11am til 1.15pm and are always grateful of any help.
Volunteer Cafe Assistant
We run a café for our service users and are busy prepping, serving and clearing meals Monday to Thursday between 10am and 2pm and are always looking for extra hands. Even if you are able to help for an hour once a week anything is appreciated. We also sometimes have conferences where we provide food and require
Volunteer Minibus Drivers
We have a minibus which we use to pick up some of our clients who attend our sessions for the over 50’s on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We pick up clients between 9.30 and 11.00 and take them home around 1.15pm. Even if you have a couple of hours free to help with one way please do get in touch.
Volunteer Befriender
Reconnections is run by Age UK and we are their delivery partner for the Wyre Forest. We have clients referred to us who are lonely and isolated and volunteers will give them a call and pop round for a cup of tea. The volunteering is flexible – so no problem to fit it around the rest of your life and commitments. Just one hour a month can make a real difference.
