Wyre Forest District Council Spending Priorities Consultation

Say what you think

Wyre Forest District Council spends £12.8 million a year currently in providing all sorts of services, from parks to planning and from emptying bins to holding community events. They’ve already saved £3.6 million since 2010. However, further government funding cuts mean that they need to save another £2 million over the next two years.

They have therefore some tough decisions to make about which services they can continue to provide and how they can generate more income.

The options in the survey about spending priorities are realistic examples of the types of decisions that councillors face. They are not the only options. The fact that they are mentioned in the questionnaire does not mean that decisions have been taken or that they will definitely happen – the council is giving residents the chance to shape the process by letting councillors know what decisions you would take.

To help shape these decisions, add your views by 5pm on Tuesday 24 September 2013, which is when the consultation closes. the report is due to follow on 6 October 2013.

Take part in the survey now.
