Volunteering Priority

Volunteering is one of the key themes for Worcestershire Voices.

Worcestershire Voices Research

The Worcestershire Volunteering Research 2013 looked at volunteering from every angle – national picture, public sector, business sector and from the volunteers (or potential volunteers) perspective. It considered both formal volunteering (through an organisation) and informal volunteering (helping neighbours and friends).

One of the key recommendations of the report was that we "create a high level county-wide joined up approach to volunteering". We are aware that, although volunteers play a significant role in Worcestershire, a great deal more could be done and that may include innovative approaches from all those involved. Worcestershire Voices is working with key people with a broad experience of volunteering to develop a strategy for all in Worcestershire – voluntary, public and private sectors.

Multi- Agency Cross sector Workshop

A cross-sector group met at the end of January 2014 to start to develop the vision for Worcestershire and plan the 'road map' of how to get there. The report from the event is now available. There is an enthusisam to move this work forward and Worcestershire Voices is keen to engage with all partners to achieve the vision. Please join in the debate on the forum to register your interest.
